Kayak

Kayak

A varied way to learn more about Albanian culture and nature while kayaking along the Ionian coast from the Butrint amphitheater to the historic Ali Pasha Castle. In the middle of visiting these UNESCO World Heritage Sites, you will be amazed by the magnificent view along the way.

Rowing on a kayak and standing in Lake Tomor on the Holy Mountain Tomor is an amazing experience. Tomori is the most unique and enigmatic mountain in Albania. Because of its height, cruelty, beauty and mystery, it was called the throne of the gods. According to mythology, the Pelasgian Dodona or “Bad Winter” Dodona ruled there. There are areas with eternal snow, as well as many springs of water, some even strange like the one in the Monster (Kucedra). Tradition says that it is commanded by a monster that drops it and cuts the water whenever it wants. There are two lakes in Tomor as two treasures hidden in his heart. They are surrounded by wilderness, old villages, mountain peaks and hills and are a small paradise hidden in the giant Tomor Mountain. We found the most fantastic way to enjoy them through kayaking, standing paddle and swimming.
